DIY incubator set for young animals

With this complete DIY incubator set, you can easily create a safe and warm environment for young animals such as kittens, puppies, rabbits or rodents.

The set includes all essential components: a compact rearing cage with lid, a heat mat with built-in thermostat, and a digital thermometer/hygrometer. This allows you to create a stable and controlled environment in which young animals can grow safely.

1. Place the heat mat inside the Comfy rearing cage.
2. A small opening has already been made so the cable can exit neatly.
3. Attach the thermometer/hygrometer inside using the suction cup.
4. Add a soft layer, such as a towel or absorbent pad.
5. Close the lid to retain the heat.

Use and settings

The ideal temperature depends on the species and age, but as a guideline:

• newborn animals: approx. 35–37°C
• older young: gradually reduce temperature

The built-in thermostat of the heat mat allows you to easily set and maintain a stable temperature.

Always check the actual temperature with the thermometer — the set temperature and the real temperature may differ.

The hygrometer helps you monitor humidity as well, preventing dehydration and supporting healthy development.

Practical tips

• Always place a layer of fabric between the animal and the heat mat
• Avoid direct contact with the heat mat
• Check temperature multiple times per day
• Always allow animals to move to a cooler spot
