Which kitten milk can you order?
If you want to order kitten milk, several good options are available. For example, you can choose Royal Canin Babycat Milk. This milk powder was developed for orphaned kittens from approximately one to 35 days old and provides a complete diet when mother’s milk is not available. Royal Canin Babydog can also be used for kittens. It has exactly the same composition but is usually priced more favorably.
Another good choice is GimCat Kitten Milk. This kitten milk is often used as a European alternative to FoxValley kitten milk and is suitable for raising young kittens. The milk powder is easy to prepare and works well for hand-rearing.
Not sure which kitten milk is best for your situation? You can always ask for advice. Melk voor Dieren regularly helps breeders, veterinarians and wildlife rescue centres choose the right milk replacer for young animals.
Order kitten milk and feeding supplies
When ordering kitten milk, it is useful to have the right feeding equipment available as well. For example, a teat, feeding syringe or kitten bottle. These tools allow you to feed milk safely and in a controlled way to young kittens.
If you order kitten milk Monday to Friday before 22:00, your order will usually be shipped the same day. Unfortunately we cannot ship orders during the weekend. You can also choose to collect your order from the Melk voor Dieren warehouse in Ridderkerk.

When does a kitten need kitten milk?
A kitten needs kitten milk when it does not receive enough milk from its mother. This may happen if the mother cat has died, produces too little milk or refuses her kittens. Sometimes a kitten is also too weak to drink properly and temporarily needs to be fed by hand.
In these situations, a specialised kitten milk replacer is important. Regular cow’s milk is not suitable for kittens because its composition differs greatly from cat’s milk and it often causes diarrhoea. Kitten milk replacers are specifically designed to provide young kittens with sufficient energy, protein and fat during the first weeks of life.
A popular choice is GimCat Kitten Goat Milk. This kitten milk is based on goat milk and is often well tolerated by young kittens. It can be used for orphaned kittens, as supplementary feeding when a kitten is not gaining enough weight, or as support when a mother cat temporarily produces too little milk.
When hand-rearing kittens, it is important to prepare the milk correctly and feed it at body temperature. Young kittens usually need small amounts of milk every few hours. It is also important to monitor their weight and growth carefully.
