Sterile packaged mucus aspirator for sucking out amniotic fluid or mucus, after puppy birth.
Sucking out the trachea prevents suffocation after birth.
The tube you use to suck out the trachea is very soft and flexible. The tip is smooth and rounded and has 2 extra holes, so you can never suck the mucus tube tight. This makes it comfortable for the newborn.
The length of the tube you suck on is 30 cm. The tube you use to suck out the airways is 55cm. This gives enough length to work comfortably with the mucus aspirator.
The size of the tube is indicated by the French Charrière size.
CH10 is 3.3 mm in diameter. Ideal for bunnies and very small kittens.
CH 12 is 4.0 mm in diameter. Ideal for kittens and small dog breeds.
CH 14 is 4.6mm diameter. Ideal for medium and large dog breeds, and other animals of such similar size.
The mucus aspirator is packaged sterile. Intended for single use in the birth of a litter of kittens, cubs or other animals.
Sputum collection jar is fitted with filter
The sputum collection jar is fitted with a hydrophobic filter for your protection and hygiene.
The jar has a capacity of 25ml. At the bottom of the jar is an extra lid. This allows you to close the container. This way, you can easily have the mucus, sputum or blood analysed by a vet.
A label is also included to indicate which animal the collected mucus or sputum belongs to.
Size CH 10 and CH 14 have an orange connector. The orange tip is where you should suck. There is an extra hole in it, which you can use to control the airflow with your finger. If you don't want to use that, you can insert the included plug into the hole.
Size CH 12 has a green connector. That's what you have to suck on.
This suction jar can also be used as an insect sucker to suck up small insects and study them. We recommend size CH12 or CH14 for this.
