Built in temperature control. 20- 50 degrees Celsius.
Colour: Blue, with soft gray cover
Plug: Normal European-plug
size of heatmat: 20 x 30cm
Soft heatmat, waterproof.
This soft heat mat has a built-in temperature controller.
The heat mat is convenient to use and can be used in a cage or crate for puppies, kittens and other baby animals. The heat mat can also be used for old or sick animals. Terrarium animals can also benefit from the heat mat.
The heat mat has a washable cover, and may also be covered with a towel, paper or a thin layer of litter.
The mat is sturdy but not resistant to gnawing and biting. If necessary, place a piece of chicken wire or the like over the mat so that it cannot be lifted and gnawed on.
The mat is water-resistant and can be completely submerged in a bucket of water. But the temperature controller and plug are not waterproof. The temperature controller and cord can be wiped with a damp cloth if needed.
In the middle of the mat is a little bump. This is the temperature sensor.
The heat mat has an output of 18 watts. The thermostat can be set from 20 degrees to max 50 degrees Celcius, but that is much too high for animals.
Of course, you can set the temperature to which you want the mat to heat up. If the temperature exceeds the set value, it switches off automatically. Until it drops below the set temperature again. Then it switches on again briefly and heats up again. And so on.
Recommended temperature for kittens and puppies
week 1: 32 degrees (this doesn't feel very warm, but it's really enough)
week 2: 29 degrees
week 3: 26 degrees
week 4: 23 degrees
There is a manual in English enclosed in the box.
Put the plug in the socket. In the middle of the controller is an on/off button. This switches the heat mat on or off.
The button with the check mark ✓ takes you to the menu.
Use the + and - to set the temperature higher or lower. The set temperature appears on the display.
After a few seconds, the current temperature of the heating mat automatically appears on the display.
With the ✓ button you can set the power output.
L01 = 10% power output
L02 = 20% power output
and so on until
L10 = 100% power output.
With young animals, we recommend always leaving the power at 100% : Position L10.
You only use the lower powers if you want to achieve lower temperatures below 25 degrees. Then you can set it to L05, for example.
You can also use the button with the ✓ tick to set the duration.
0h = continuous heating 24/7
1h = heat for 1 hour and then stay off
2h = heat for 2 hours and then stay off
and so on until
24h = 24 hours of heating and then it stays off.
We recommend setting the heat mat to 0h. Then it continues to heat continuously 24/7.
At the top left, the light is lit when the plug is in the socket. So it stays on continuously.
At the top right, the lamp lights up when the heat mat is currently heating. As soon as the set temperature is reached, the light turns off.
